Happy Holidays....Green The World is offering several specials in the month of December. Simple Shoes and Bags, in stock only, are $10.00 off. All Green The World and Plastic Bags Blow t-shirts are buy one get one 1/2 off. All Maggies lounge wear is $5.00 off along with the billboard belts and Little PackRat Backpacks. More specials will be offered throughout the month so please stop buy and give "green" this Christmas.There are several ways to go green at Christmas and help save money. Do not buy expensive gift wrap, use newspapers or re-use paper sacks you have or magazines. You can also make bows with the same paper by cutting it into strips and then curling with the edge of a pair of scissors. You can also use cereal boxes for gift wrapping shirts and cracker boxes, rice boxes, any kind of empty food box to wrap gifts in. When sending Christmas Cards, try emailing and if you must send a card buy one made of recycled paper.Please remember to take time for yourself and if possible, help those less fortunate. The holidays can be a time of stress and worry for many so do not overdo and enjoy the season with family and friends by staying home and playing boardgames and have potluck instead of spending money on a movie and dinner. May peace be with you this holiday season and the New Year brings us all good health and happiness.
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving. Remember, if possible eat local and organic. If you are serving turkey, try and buy a free range turkey raised locally and preferably organic. Make time to relax with family and close friends and remember all we have to be thankful for. If you are fortunate enough to have extra, please share canned goods and any extra warm clothing to our local food banks and shelters. Thanks to all my customers who supported the clothing drive for Make A Difference Day, many items were donated and greatly apreciated by our local less fortunate. The "Green for the Holidays" class was a success and I look forward to the "Green for Spring class. Again, Happy Thanksgiving.
Just a reminder. . . . my 1st in a series of FREE classes is being held this Friday 11.7.8 at Green The World from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. The class will be "Green For The Holidays" and be a fun, informative, casual affair. I will be offering gift wrapping ideas along with decorating ideals and green gift giving ideas. I would also like for anyone attending to give ideas they may have or have used. Light refreshments will be served and there will be a drawing for a "Green The World" bag. All in attendance will receive a free laminated card for their purse listing ingredients in food and products that are harmful for the planet and yourself. I Look forward to seeing you all and again, please bring any of your own "green" holidays ideas. Thanks
Just a few last minute reminders to all my family, friends, and customers. Friday is "Make A Difference Day" and I will be collecting your used winter clothing through close on Saturday. Please make every effort to drop of any that you may have as there are several locations here locally that could really benefit by our efforts. Thanks to those of you who have already dropped of items.
Also, Friday and Saturday the 24th and 25th is "What A Woman Wants Show" at the Ogden Eccles Center. I will have a booth there along with several other vendors for those of you who want to start your Christmas shopping early. I have free tickets you can pick up at Green The World or email me and I can send you one by email if you would like to attend. This should be a fun event to get out while your husbands are deer hunting or watching the World Series.

Just a note to let all my customers know you can now buy Cafe Ibis Coffee at Green The World.Cafe Ibis Coffee is "Triple Certified" Organic and Fair Trade. Cafe Ibis is local and located in Logan, Utah. Green The World is very excited to offer Organic Peruvian Raiforest, Organic Aztec Dark, Organic Ibis French Roast Blend and Organic Mayan Sunrise Blend. We are trying to get it set up to have some brewing to sample at my "Ribbon Cutting" ceremony on 10.15.08 at 4:30. Along with getting my sign up on my building finally, I will be having a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony sponsored by The Ogden Weber Chamber of Commerce. The Ribbon Cutting will be held on Wednesday, October 15th at 4:30 p.m. There will be light refreshments and a demo provided by our Local "Bubble and Bee" organics.
